Dr. Donald LeDrew
Dr. Don LeDrew, who is a native of Edmonton, graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1970. He practiced in Edmonton, St. Albert, Honolulu, and Lethbridge before arriving in Leduc in 1987 and acquiring the office of Dr. Art D' Amaro. Dr. LeDrew is proud to be carrying on the family tradition of Optometry. His father Dr. Ralph LeDrew was an optometrist in Edmonton from 1938-1978 and his sister Janice is an optometrist in Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. LeDrew has three daughters namely, Robyn who lives in California, Kristin who lives in San Diego and Michelle resides in Edmonton. The doctor is proud to announce that he has 4 grandchildren at the present time!
As Dr. LeDrew enters the latter stage of his practicing career, he finds that he sees many of the same patients that he started with in 1987. Due to this fact, Dr. LeDrew has developed a keen interest in geriatric eyecare. In addition to seeing younger patients everyday, he thoroughly enjoys seeing and treating the many elderly patients who make their home in Leduc area.
The practice expanded in 1998 with the purchase of Family Eyecare in Wetaskiwin. Another expansion took place in 2001 with the purchase of the optometric office in Drayton Valley from Dr. Alan Smith who retired. Dr. Jon Niblett, Dr. Don Chin and Dr. Shelena Ask share the doctor responsibilities at all three locations.
When Dr. LeDrew decides to take a holiday, you will usually find him and his wife Karen sailing the water of Vancouver and area. Sailing has been a lifelong passion of Dr. LeDrew that was passed down from his father. |
